As we move into 2026, the team at Bike the UK for MS has been busy laying the groundwork for the months ahead. From preparing for university refresher fairs and supporting new riders, to improving how people connect with us and planning for our 2026 season, there’s been a lot happening behind the scenes. Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on recently.
Supporting New Riders from Day One
Welcoming new riders is always one of the highlights of the year. We’ve been focused on making sure everyone feels supported from the moment they sign up. We’re currently preparing and sending out riders’ welcome packs. These packs are a small way of welcoming riders to the team, helping them feel part of the journey, and giving them a few useful items as they begin training and fundraising for their ride.

A New Way to Chat Things Through
We’ve also launched a new booking system on our website. It’s aimed at making it easier for prospective riders to book a one-to-one call with the team. These relaxed chats are a chance to talk through any questions, explore which ride might be the best fit, and understand how our trips work. There’s no pressure or commitment. Just an open conversation about training, fundraising, routes, and what to expect on a Bike the UK for MS ride.
Considering a 2026 ride? – Book a Call
Rider Recruitment Emails Going Live
Behind the scenes, we’ve been preparing a new series of rider recruitment emails, designed to guide people through the early stages of considering a ride. These emails focus on answering common questions, sharing rider stories, and encouraging people to book a 1-to-1 call if they’d like to talk things through.
Preparing for 2026 Trips
Planning for our 2026 rides is well underway. We’ve been working through the early stages of trip preparation, including logistics, routes, and accommodation planning, to make sure everything is ready for another exciting year on the road. There’s lots to look forward to, and we’re excited to start sharing more as plans take shape.
Accessible Cycling Sessions Returning This Spring
This spring, we’re excited to be bringing back our accessible cycling sessions across the UK. We have been awarded grants from both Sport England and the National Lottery allowing us to expand this project.
These sessions focus on creating relaxed, welcoming spaces where people living with MS can try a range of adaptive bikes, enjoy being outdoors, and connect with others.
While dates and locations are still being finalised, we’re already working with local partners and MS groups to make these sessions possible again.

University Visits and Refreshers Fairs

We’re also getting ready for upcoming university refreshers fairs, with visits to Bristol, Cardiff and later Liverpool.
These events are a great opportunity to meet new students, share information about our rides and placements, and talk about the different ways students can be part of Bike the UK for MS.
We’re really looking forward to being back on campus and continuing to build connections with University communities.
Looking Ahead
There’s so much to look forward to as we head into 2026, and we’re grateful to everyone who continues to be part of the journey.
Keep an eye out for more updates soon, there’s plenty to come.
