Why you should add an MS bike ride to your 2027 calendar
At Bike the UK for MS, every mile matters. Our cycling adventures bring people together to explore incredible parts of the UK, take on memorable challenges, and raise funds and awareness for people living with multiple sclerosis.
After another brilliant summer on the road, we’re excited to share our 2027 Bike the UK for MS ride line-up.
From riding the entire length of Great Britain to exploring the Scottish Highlands, crossing Wales and taking on the gravel trails of the Chilterns, there are plenty of ways to bike for MS in 2027. And whether you can commit to two weeks on the road or just a few days away, there’s an adventure waiting for you.

Take on the Length of Great Britain
John O’Groats to Land’s End
19 June – 4 July 2027 (15 days)
Fundraising goal: £1,530 (£1.50 per mile)
It doesn’t get much more iconic than cycling from one end of Great Britain to the other.
Our John O’Groats to Land’s End adventure takes riders from the far north of Scotland all the way to the tip of Cornwall, travelling through changing landscapes, towns and communities as the team works its way south.
Two weeks on the road makes this our biggest UK adventure of the year. There will be long days, plenty of climbing and inevitably some challenging moments along the way, but that is exactly what makes reaching Land’s End together so special.
Fifteen days of cycling, fundraising, shared meals, rest stops, laughs and supporting one another towards a finish line more than 1,000 miles away.

Ride the Scottish Highlands
North Coast 500
9 July – 17 July 2027 (8 days)
Fundraising goal: £965 (£1.75 per mile)
For dramatic scenery and some seriously memorable days on the bike, the North Coast 500 is difficult to beat.
Starting and finishing in Inverness, our route takes riders around the north of Scotland through remote Highland landscapes, winding coastal roads, mountain passes and small communities.
Don’t let the shorter trip length fool you. The NC500 packs plenty of climbing into eight days and provides a proper cycling challenge, but the rewards come quickly too. Expect huge views, quiet roads and some of the most spectacular scenery on our UK calendar.
It’s a great option for anyone looking for a big summer adventure without needing to take several weeks away.

Cycle the Length of Wales
Lôn Las Cymru
30 July – 3 August 2027 (4 days)
Fundraising goal: £520 (£2 per mile)
If you want to fit a huge amount of riding into just a few days, Lôn Las Cymru might be the trip for you.
Our journey takes riders across Wales from north to south, combining quiet roads, cycle routes, mountain scenery and plenty of climbing along the way.
At roughly 260 miles, this may be one of our shorter adventures, but it certainly isn’t an easy one. Wales provides plenty of hills, and four days of back-to-back riding makes this a rewarding challenge for the whole team.
What you get in return is a brilliant snapshot of Welsh cycling changing landscapes, rural communities and the satisfaction of travelling across an entire country under your own power.
Cycle across Wales with us in summer 2027.

Finish the Summer on Gravel
Royal Chilterns Way
27 August – 31 August 2027 (4 days)
Fundraising goal: £275 (£1.50 per mile)
Fancy swapping some of the tarmac for gravel?
Our Royal Chilterns Way adventure returns in 2027 for four days of mixed-surface riding through the Chilterns.
Unlike our other 2027 trips, this route heads off-road for significant sections, combining gravel tracks, trails and quieter lanes. Riders should be comfortable cycling on mixed terrain and will want a gravel bike, touring bike with suitable tyres or mountain bike rather than a standard road bike.
It’s a very different style of Bike the UK for MS adventure, but that is all part of the appeal. With plenty of climbing, countryside and a route that rewards a little more adventure, it’s a brilliant way to round off the summer.
Leave the road behind and ride the Royal Chilterns Way for MS in August 2027.

Where Else Should We Ride in 2027?
There may still be one more adventure to add to our 2027 schedule. We currently have space from September onwards to potentially add another Bike the UK for MS adventure and we’d love to hear where you think we should ride next.
Is there a route you’ve always wanted to tackle with us? A part of the country we should explore? Or a past bike for MS trip you’d love to see return?
Share your ideas in the comments below. We’re open to suggestions, and your idea could help shape the next addition to our 2027 schedule.
Four Different Adventures. One Reason to Ride.
Taking two weeks away isn’t possible for everyone. That’s why our 2027 calendar includes everything from the full John O’Groats to Land’s End challenge to four-day adventures through Wales and the Chilterns. Whichever route you choose, the reason behind every trip remains the same.
Each rider becomes part of a team raising funds and awareness for people living with multiple sclerosis, while challenging themselves and experiencing another part of the UK from the saddle.
You don’t need to be an experienced cycle tourist before you sign up. You need to be willing to train, fundraise, become part of the team and take that first step towards your next adventure.
So, where will you ride in 2027?
